47 is back and it's almost as if it's never been gone. Hitman 2 is a direct sequel to the episodic Hitman of 2016 and at the same time a kind of sequel to the adventure. It is the first game of Agent 47 after the separation of the developer IO Interactive from Square Enix and it fits well to the original. Hitman 2 offers a meticulously tuned package with dozens of sandbox environments and tasks that take advantage of the extensive design of the maps. If you own the original game, you'll find the content listed together with the new stuff in a central hub. What has happened playfully with the Hitman series since 2016 has been retroactively equipped with new features in Hitman 2. These include the reworked crawl mechanisms with which the bald assassin sneaks through the bushes or hides in groups of people. There are other changes, such as the return of the briefcase, in which eye-catching objects can be hidden, but overall the formula has hardly been changed.
